A picture is worth a thousand words and all of them are good with this one. I feel inspired to wake up early enough to see one myself next time I visit. What time of year does the sun come up after 9:00 AM on Hilton Head?

Ron, I don't think there is any time the sun rises at 9:00 AM. In fact, I just checked and the best you'll get is 7:24 AM on January 3rd, 2019. That's pretty good, compared to when I woke up in July for my sunrises

This AM while walking the dog...

Your little fluffy doggo is adorable and is looking at the sunrise. Hilton Head is my dream retirement destination and my husband and I discuss it often. He's going to retire in three years and we both are ready to pull up roots and move to the island. Just thinking of it makes me giddy.

Jean, my wife and I retired here from northern VA (right outside DC) in 2012 and have not regretted it for a moment. Pretty much every day we still look at each other and say "we live here"!
