Tropical low 92L is off the coast near Hilton Head today and may turn into the next named storm later tonight. Read the article on the Island Packet. I'm glad this isn't my vacation week. Stay out of the water if your there today.

Has the storm already passed by Hilton Head? Was there any damage?

The storm has passed and didn't cause any damage. I called our property management company and they assured me all is well on Hilton Head. I get nervous planning a trip to Hilton Head this time of year when hurricane season is in full swing. Not once have we had a vacation cut short by a hurricane so I am trying to relax. Please let the weather cooperate again this year!

Irma has formed into a Category 2 Hurricane (same as Matthew last year). Still not sure of the path. It could go anywhere.

I saw the news about Irma on the Weather Channel only minutes ago. Its too far out to say with any certainty where it's headed. I do hope that it stays far away from Hilton Head. The best hurricanes are the ones that never make landfall.

The latest five day projected path for Hurricane Irma. The hurricane is moving slowly and picking up energy from the warm Caribbean waters. This monster needs to head out to sea and stay away from land.
