So many have come and gone since this board started. Any new suggestions that stand out? I've read good things about Ruby Lee's, but haven't been myself. Tried Fishcamp in May (Part of the new Reilly's group CRAB) - great water views of Broad Creek and nice outdoor bar. Beer

I was on vacation at Hilton Head in July and we went out to eat a lot. I'll leave a short list of the restaurants we went to.

1. Hudson's Seafood. I am never disappointed with their seafood and service.

2. Vine. This is a new one and I loved it! Pretty expensive but worth it for the innovation and atmosphere.

3. Kenny B's

4. Charlie's on New Orleans Road.

5. Salty Dog Cafe. Overpriced, crowded and uninspired, but the location is great.

6. Street Meet for lunch. Our first visit and I will go again. They have a nice Instagram feed if you are into that sort of thing like I am.

7. Alexander's is an old favorite we visit every time we're on Hilton Head.

I've heard a lot of good things about Vine. I'll have to try it next trip.

Anybody try 843 in the Fresh Market Plaza?

Where on Hilton Head is Vine? I've never heard of this one? Is it new?

Trevor,

I haven't been there, but I did see it when we went to Coligny Plaza earlier this month. They don't have a website I can find, so I'm posting a link to their reviews on Yelp.

Some of those Yelp reviews were interesting.

Here's what the Coligny website shows:

Vine

An intimate Greenwhich Village style restaurant located across from Coligny Beach. The menu is inspired by Napa and Sonoma Valley, with farm to table produce sourced from local farms, fresh catch of the day and varied recipes from around the world. Dress is club casual and no children.

Wow. I missed the "no children" rule. That would not go over well with my family. That's a pretty bold stance with Hilton Head positioned as a very family-friendly destination.

We did not eat at 843 on this last trip. There are so many good restaurants it is impossible to get to them all in a week. I want to go for two weeks next year which will give me more time to explore all of Hilton Head's wonderful restaurants and shops.
