It looks like a good night to be out at South Beach. Webcam link below the picture (as usual).

Cheers,
Will

A good crowd is out there tonight as well. I think there were more people over the weekend, but they were probably on the island for the Heritage.

I can't recommend enough the Salty Dog Cruise (its the large catamaran off to the right of the first picture). $15 to $21 per person depending on the music, and a great leisurely cruise past Daufuskie. Great dolphin and wildlife watching for less than a dolphin cruise. One caveat (or benefit) is that it is adults only. Full bar and light snacks are available.

Rob:
Thanks for the tip on the Salty Dog Cruise. My wife and MIL, who lives with us, and I will be at HH in a couple of weeks. Something like that sounds terrific. E

Thank you for the recommendation Rob. We make at least one trip to the Salty Dog each vacation to get new t-shirts and didn't know about the cruise. That's surely going on my to do list for this year. Is this something I can book while I'm on Hilton Head or do you need to reserve months in advance?

Most of the cruises you could probably book same day. The special ones like the full moon cruise book up a lot faster, so maybe book a week ahead? I usually check the forecast for the week, get the gang to make a decision, then book. The full moon cruise is great. Two hours, live music, and everybody gets a glo necklace and a moon pie. Its so much fun.

Rob,

The full moon cruise sounds great. I need to check that out on a trip where we have a full moon.

Cheers,
Will

Are mosquitoes a problem on the night cruise?

Not at all. The boat moves fast enough that bugs aren't a problem.
