Skillets Cafe Information: A very attractive cafe with unique "served in porcelain skillet" breakfasts. However it really is "more than just for breakfast". For Lunch or Dinner, try their seafood and beef entrees, sandwiches or an "old fashioned" meat and vegetable plate. Skillets is located in their brand new free-standing building in Coligny Plaza.

With so many good restaurants on HHI, there's no reason to go here 1/29/2010

My wife and I stayed in a hotel directly across from Skillet's while visiting the island, so we decided to try it. There were only a handful of customers in the restaurant when we arrived, but we still had to wait several minutes for a hostess to appear to seat us. She smelled of cigarette smoke when she finally greeted us, obviously she had been outside smoking. Once we were seated it took at least 10 minutes for our server to come to the table. We ordered drinks but the server disapeared into the kitchen and didn't bring our drinks for another 10 minutes. She then took our dinner order. Once it came to the table (about 30 minutes later) the food was half cold. We debated sending it back, but since we had already been there so long we decided against it. The food could best be described as decent, and not worth the price. We definitely won't be back.

used to be good before the fire. Now, poor service, not worth the wait, food only so-so.

We are so happy they rebuilt Skillets after the Aligator Grille fire. Now it's huge with the same great breakfast. You can get anything here and it's all fresh. I love the french toast with honey butter.

We were not able to make the breakfast, but did enjoy dinner. The staff was very attentive with the children, which is always a plus. Good food and local beer on tap. We missed "Elvis" but did enjoy the piano music inside during dinner.
