The Sea Pines Forest Preserve Information: Visit our 605-acre Forest Preserve on your own, or take one of our guided tours and discover why there is absolutely no substitute for good nature. The Forest Preserve, with its diverse plantlife, towering loblolly pines, majestic live oaks, and southern bayberry is home to mammals (30 species), birds (133), fish (11), reptiles (37), amphibians (20) and various other creatures. Wildlife is abundant but very timid and will make their fleeting appearances for patient and sharp-eyed admirers.
Other points of interest the Forest Preserve offers are the 4,000 year old Indian Shell Ring, Rookery Point, and the Wildflower Meadow. Open sunrise to sunset. Bikes must remain on designated trails and dogs must be on leashes.
