The talapia au gratin was good, but for the most part this is a get'em in and get'em out kind of place. Food is mediocre at best.

Ate the tilapia crab au gratin w/ rice and vegetables. It was decent. Also tried (from my husband)'s the shrimp and grits. Had a bbq flavor that was not that tasty. Definitely not a classic dish but not that tasty for a difference. Ice tea was very good. (brewed nice). Service adequate but on the slow side. Waitress was nice. View very nice. Definitely not gourmet but an average type place. Prices are average - $15 abouts...

We visit this place each trip. Lovely view of the water and always nice service. Best She-Crab Soup!! We go to the early bird and it is fast service. Give it a try- great for families.

The Kingfisher Restaurant has fantastic views and it is very open and airy. The parmesan encrusted tilapia was to die for and the oysters Kingfisher a unique delicacy. Service was friendly and attentive. A very enjoyable place for dinner, drinks and entertainment.

We were first dissapointed with the service. Our server was curt and snippy, my food was fine, however, not the quality I expected for the price charged.

Our first experience dining here and wanted to dine at Shelter Cove. We arrived for the early bird which was a good price. Enjoyed a glass of wine, shrimp, fries and coleslaw for about $15.00. We all enjoyed our meals and had a table right by the big window for a view of the harbour (and the pelicans). Our service was very good. Very casual, kid-friendly restaurant. We missed the entertainment, but may try and catch something next visit.

I used to visit the Kingfisher in the early to mid 90's. The food was always reasonably priced and good. On our last 2 visits the food was under sized, especially for the price and the she-crab soup was served cold. We came to see the magician perform and my family was not happy to find that he wasn't goint to be there.

I am only giving Kingfisher one star because of our overall experience. The food was lack luster for the price, and the service was mediocre. The entertainment was also poor.
