The Harbor Town CC is the only one we go to. We always eat in the bar. The waiter we have has worked there for 20 years and is a really nice man. Wish I could remember his name.

food is excellent. service is great. however, at around 5pm there is always a creepy old guy sitting at the end of the bar drinking bottled MGD. He goes by the name Steve. I believe he thinks he owns the place. if you worked here summer of 2002, i hope your doing well. i should of never left. John Quinn (jeff jennings friend). If you see steve, tell him i said hello. I know he probably does not do internet.

Our experience here was nothing short of dissatisfying. The wait for a table wasn't horrible, but the establishment was dirty and smelled like dead, rotten, musty fish. Lobster tail was tough as rubber and the crab cakes were the worst our group had ever tasted. Steamed Seafood Pot didn't provide enough meat, the crab wasn't sweet and the entire meal lacked flavor. The hush puppies, however, the highlight of the meal and were served hot and crispy. Overall, poor experience and would not recommend or revisit...ever again. Should rename the Crappy Crab.

Manager rude 5/27/2008

Our party of 7 ate at the Crazy Crab on Jarvis Creek 5-24-08. As we came in the door the special that was posted was for blacken Maui Maui sandwich or platter for $10.95. Four of our group tried to order this and they said this was a lunch special. It was 5:30 and lunch ended at 4:00. Our waiter got the manager and she was VERY RUDE. She wanted to know what was OUR problem. The problem was she had not changed the special board. So she was making her problem our problem. She would not honor the posted special. The food was just so so and the service was not that good either and no AC. We will not be back.

Disappointing!!! 5/25/2008

Reviewer: Mick from Atlanta, GA

The food was only so so and the service was terrible. The fried food was mushy, the grilled food was dry and the crab legs we think may have been put in the microwave as the shell was like rubber. The hushpuppies however were great! We will not go back. ....sorry for the review but Red Lobster and Long Johns Silver were better.

We dined here when visiting Harbour Town. Again, loved the shrimp and the kids menu is also good. I love the casual, nautical feel of the restaurant. Very kid-friendly which is what we really need with two little ones!

We went here again in July and I tried the Crab Cake, it was unreal! I can't wait to go again next year just for the Crab Cake. We always eat at the one on Hwy 278, it has more seating than the one at Harbor Town, but I am sure the food is good at both locations.

The Crazy Crab is a favorite. The food is excellent. If you are craving an authentic native dish try the low coutry boil. In case you don't know, the crazy crab has the best Hush Puppies on earth!

My review is for the other Crazy Crab that is located on William Hilton Parkway on the north side of the island. The BEST Crab Cakes I have ever eaten. Great service also. We live in HHI part time and this is one of our favorites. We go there at least once a month.

We visit Hilton Head every summer and the Crazy Crab is a great place to eat seafood. The prices are reasonable for seafood and the service is great. The decor is fun also. Visit both locations you will not be sorry.
